YOUTH ART MONTH 2020

March is National Youth Art Month. Youth Art Month is a celebration of the visual arts. Student exhibitions, public artworks, art festivals, and school events are held all over the country to raise awareness and support for the importance of quality visual arts programs in the schools. In Abington, we are displaying more than 700 pieces of art created by students in kindergarten through grade 4. The work will be on display at the Abington Public Library all month and part of April. BBES's exhibit will run from March 4 through March 23 and Woodsdale‘s will run from March 23 through April 13. Two Family/Community Viewing Receptions will be hosted on March 10th for BBES and April 2nd for Woodsdale. Both receptions are 5-7 pm. Thank you to the PTOs and the parent volunteers that helped us prepare the exhibits. Also a big thank you to the library for letting us take over their walls each year.

The photographs below shows some of the work from the BBES exhibit which was just installed today. Stop in and be overwhelmed with the explosion of color.

Middle and high school students will have their work displayed at the new school during Celebrate The Arts Festival on May 13 from 3:30 to 7:30. More details to follow.
